Maral Love

I couple days ago, I discovered (on Soompi) this Gr. 6 girl (502455) named Maral who does YouTube make-up tutorials! Grade 6!! Can you believe it?! In Grade 6, I don't even think I looked into the mirror once before going out. Butchea -- at first, I had a picture in my mind of this little girl who looks MUCH older than she really was with TONS of makeup on her... like a bad child pageant queen. But instead, I found this cute, hyper (ADD) Mongolian girl with SO much personality (and such nice, healthy hair) who is such an appreciative, optimistic and down-to-earth individual! In her videos you find that yes, she loves make-up, but she's definitely NOT a makeup snob in any way... and that she loves her family too and I bet she's a really good daughter -- you can see it in the way she interacts. She get so excited over the littlest things... like once her dad told her he was gonna throw away an extremely ornate, cylindrical box with soap in it but she thought it was SO beautiful that she had to keep it so she goes on for over 3 minutes, showing us how beautiful it was and for what and when she'll use it. She does sound a bit ditzy once in a while with her "like" and "umm"s but her personality makes up for it haha And I love how she adds phrases of Mongolian here and there. She has really nice hair... and is probably a good multi-tasker too... one would think.
"Opthamahldawl... ofthamahlmologist"
I also notice that she likes to blow on her eyeshadows lol.... a LOT
And make faces.

Right now I'm watching a video of her dad giving her a makeover. Her dad is an artist and he did a great job.... she has 354 videos I believe.. not all about makeup -- some about when she's bored on the plane... under a table in her dad's market stand, showing us her Mary Kay haul... I think. "This one is sooooooooooooo pretty! I mean, look at it!"

So yea, if you have 8 minutes to spend here and there, check her out at 502455!!

OH and you know why her name is 502455? It's her school lunch ID number LOL so she wouldn't forget!

5 Cents

On Tuesday I got a sweet surprise -- M presented me with such a lovely gourmet dinner on her back patio!! Yum!
There were cute scooped-out and re-filled tomatoes and potatoes, 4 different types of cheese, peppercorn pate, over 50 of the best shrimp I have ever had, 2 types of greek dip with toasted pita (a meal in its own), and a jug of my fav. -- homemade sangria.
Check out the presentation ooOooooo

AND she tricked me! Before I went to Harrison Hot Springs, I told her that I wanted one of those McDonald Beijing Olympic cups -- the Panda one... but it wasn't out yet when I left. I was afraid they sold out because so many of the other ones have... so M told me that she went to 5 or 6 different McDonalds during a drive and as I predicted, they were completely sold out.... but she actually got 2 glasses at the last McDonald location! LUCKY! I'm so happy =) It's my souvenir for this season's olympics.

Yea my friends spoil me. My dad pointed that out today and he's said "and it's my job to unspoil you". lol

"I Think Those Are Keepers"

So on Monday, M and I went down to the states. Nad mentioned this new or updated mall called Westfield Southcenter in Seattle that had a 2-floor Forever 21 (and a 2-floor H&M but that store ain't half as exciting... or even exciting at all?). Anyway, B and I went to some Westfield mall chain down in LA back in May and it was pretty good so I was excited. M picked me up at 6:30AM and we headed down with our usual stack of music. It took a bit longer than usual to get down this time because of traffic and accidents, but we made it down there at around 10. We always seem park in front of Nordstrom.

Westfield Southcenter is biiig. It seems bigger than Metro espesh. since the stores seem so wide! First stop: Forever 21. Oh My. It's pretty sizable! M and I spent over an hour there, sifting. There's such a variety -- and they even have their Heritage line (but it's pretty much full of only 'vintage' tees). Everything was in sections - animal print/florals/jeans/ethnic prints/heritage/jersey material/their regular stuff/new stuff/accessories/guys... and there were TONS of each item... at least their new stuff. I ended up just getting a pair of gray high-wasited shorts, a belt, and a black rope tank.

Then we ate at The Cheesecake Factory -- I had the same thing I had in LA w/ B: Hibachi steak and a Santa Fe salad except we didn't eat any bread or share an appetizer lol. YUM I love The Cheesecake Factory! We ate pretty fast 'cause we wanted to go through all the stores before heading back at 7 (it takes about 3 hours to get home).

We went into Delia's. The display is a bit deceiving.. they dress their mannequins so much better than their actual items. Both M and I were so amused at all their music-themed stuff that M tried them all on... at the same time. Oh my. And as a result... sweatpants with a treble clef on it, a white note-splattered beater, a cropped music knit sweater, and a keyboard tote.
There's this new clothing chain called Love Culture that sells clothes similar to F21 except they seem to be made a bit more cheaply... the prices show... and it seems as though it's for younger ppl. The store is still better than Anchor Blue and Wet Seal though IMO. Hopped in and out of H&M.... nothing different than ours. Found this little boutique store called JuJubes where I ended up getting a thin, black shirtdress for work for $30... something I could have gotten in HK for less than half the price but I ain't in HK am I?! Darn.

OH! There's this new lovely store I'm quite excited about!! Gilly Hicks: The Cheeky Australian Cousin (fictionally from Sydney) of Abercrombie and Fitch. Logo: Koala. I actually thought the store was A&F modified before going in. Inspired by the phrase "down under", GH specializes in intimate apparel from casual to sexy, relaxed loungewear and personal care products. You can definitely tell it's related to A&F by the decor and colours -- very dark and full of small, 'intimate' rooms.
M and I zipped through 'cause we were pressed for time and just wanted to see what they had to offer. M said she felt like she was on a ride she wanted to get off of haha The whole place pretty much consisted of bras displayed in inset shelves and drawers, underwear on tables, and really cute/pretty sleeping sets.
OH the BEST PART is their changerooms!! It's like a living room!
Spacious, carpeted, air conditioned, clean, HUGE mirror, lit, has a cushioned seating area, AND! dun dun dunnnn a whole drawer set (that I want!) with interesting portait-style vogue books on top and a vintage lamp and this thing is full of every single type of bra they carry in every single size! "Since you have your top off, you might as well try our other bras". I would have never thought of that. Shopping for bras are a bit tedious for me so it's great they took this whole comfort and already-there factory into account when they created this store. Ingenious! The whole place looks spotless but how do you clean that sort of thing? And I wonder how often they replace those "try on" bras? Of course I went on a bra-trying spree. Their bras range from $40-45ishUSD which isn't bad. They are very comfortable. I think they're comparable to Jacob's bras in the style and padding (pretty much non-existant). The only 2 things I don't like are: 1. They don't have black (A&F never carries black), and 2. You can't take off the straps! I like to wear strapless often. But comfort overrides those factors so next time I'd like spend more time in there to buy one.

I also stopped by A&F and got myself a pair of their Erin Skinnies. J'aime.

I was semi-interested in this store called Charlotte Russe - I'm not sure what sort of age they're trying to target but it looks like late teens/early 20's. It was still under construction.

We ended up browsing around some other stores such as Macy's and others I can't remember right now -- didn't go to Sephora (didn't have money to spend on cosmetics on this trip). OH and Nordstrom -- we ended off there. This Nordstrom seems smaller than Alderwood's and it doesn't have as many brands. I tried on BCBG's 'famous' sandal....... and I love it...
Everyone on the floor loved the shoe too… might order it online once I straighten out my finances. We also spent 45 minutes in Alderwood to pick up a few accessories: belt, scarf, barettes, false eyelashes.

So yea - Westfield Southcenter is worth to go to, and if it has a Forlove 21 + a Daiso, it'd be even better. You can always drop by Alderwood on the way up.

I want to go again soon.

For those who are interested in Banc sweatshirts,
I do not sell anything.
Please look at Soompi's surveys for them.

My left butt cheek is still sore from falling down the stairs yesterday morning. Boo. Have you ever had your leg just totally numb up? Well, not numb, but it just doesn't seem to want to bend? I had that, but I was so stubborn and told myself "psh, I can SO go down these stairs no problem with my laptop open in my hand". Little did I realize, my feet were very slippery and I almost fell 3 times before my big 5-6 stair fall at the bottom. It's like at work -- I almost slip 3-4 times every shift because of my shoes. Anyway, I fell real hard on my left butt cheek and it's still sore -- I think it's bruised... and I hardly ever bruise! Yes, the laptop is fine.

Work messes up my eating schedule man.

Today at work I briefly talked to this customer named Michael Ho. Have you heard of him? Apparently he's a big deal in the BMW world. Him and his family are very friendly. We have some interesting customers.

I didn't end up exercising today like I had hoped to... instead I helped my mom w/ errands all morning and worked later. I basically hopped in and out of the car all day. Oh I'm the first passenger of our new car! haha -- anyway, we stopped by Costco, Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Napa Tires, Brentwood, Save On, and Winners. All under 3 hours!

I've had so little time -- not enough to continue with my "I Wish I Could Add You To My Zune". Boo.

What else have I been doing... I worked for event planning on Fri -- that place is not comfortable to work in when it's hot! Shared pho w/ M, Nad came over to do a good catch up + paint our nails haha. Sat, I took the day off! I helped my mom clean the garage, Auntie Sandy's family came over after PNE, then I went to Costco + then to Brandon's party. T'was fun! Lots of games. Played Rock Band for the first time. I guess I don't enjoy those types of games much. It was alright - I played drums for a while and then guitar and bass for the next few songs. Got to pick up my BSB tickets from Patricia (yay!).

My friend sent me THSK (DBSK)'s Doushite Kimi Wo Suki Ni Natte Shimattan Darou (どうして君を好きになって) single from Japan and it arrived the other day for my birthday! I've been listening to it a lot. Got Junsu's card in it. Also comes with this Jamaican-sounding song called Box In The Ship ahha.

This week's schedule:
M - States
T - Work + dinner + sleepover
W - Work + clean room + out
Th - Work 12-3 + maybe SFU (depending on Academic Advisor's schedules) + out.
F - SFU (have to have to have to) + Work 5-closing + Atlantis
S - Wall climbing + work 5-closing
Sun - Free "me" half-day. Work 5-closing

I'm off to the States in 5ish hours! To bed I go.

Btw, how many of you know who Nardwuar is? It was for Cranium -- someone had to act him out. I was surprised that only 3 or 4 ppl including myself out of the 12 knew who he was!
