Rock'n Around The City

Ohhh kind of exhausted. Yesterday I had training @ the UBC Bookstore. It was good! I'm gonna enjoy it. Met some new people, got inspired to take up pilates instead of ballet, and realized I do get verrrry sugar high if I drink pop + a latte within 2 hours of each other. Then after I rushed off to Gardenworks to help my cousins Erin (5) and Kyle (2) decorate these little Xmas trees with pipe cleaners, beads, bells, and garland made out of popcorn, licorice, marshmallows, raisins, and candy. I love these little ones! They're so fun and well behaved!
Kyle and my dadThen we went back to their house and added pages to her scrapbook. She really has some of the best scrap book photos I've ever seen! She's gonna love looking back at the pictures when she grows older. Anyway, we popped fresh popcorn and I watched them play cowboy on unicorns and sing. Erin just started learning the piano! She held a mini concert for us in her basement and we set up chairs for the stuffed animals. The actual people had to sit on the ground....
That's Kyle fixing the audience. We sat on the right. The concert was excellent!
And then it was time for bed - I read Erin books for 15 minutes as part of her Kindergarten requirement. Got to read my old Berenstein Bears books!!! I loooved those! Berenstein Bears Go To School, Berenstein Bears Learn Their Manners... and my Little Critter books from 1990 that are still in excellent condition.
Good day... but I'm headachey from the lack of sleep. Got g'rents coming over soon. Gotta take a shower.

DBSK Sarang
Don't they look good -- well Yoochun (centre) isn't looking as good as the others.
Here's a Yoochun pic to make up for it:
YesStyle
59 Seconds: Mock Mandarin Collar Trench Coat with Belt-Tab Half-Sleeves [20% off at $62.40]
This one isn't as nice as the previous trench I loved, but it's still pretty decent.
My mom says "why do you need a trench coat? You don't work at an office. You don't need one" ........... how do trenches + offices relate?
BBon-J: Stripe Crinkled Cardigan [$55]
So cute! I love the gold detail on the pockets and buttons. Love love loveI don't remember the details for this picture, but I just liked the whole outfit.
Chunzane# Gingham shorts - I think it was around $35. I like this picture for the coat though.
Chunzane# and Ribbonne did a great job picking this model - I love how she wears her outfits and her expressions. The green pic above is also her. This coat is Ribbonne: Double Breasted Mandarin Neck Coat [$62]. You can totally tell she took this picture in Hong Kong! Found a coat I'm gonna buy - it's not a coat I need, but it's so different I'm just gonna buy it and hope it looks alright. $50 and it's short and made with down... makes me wonder if there's actual down feathers in it! How can it be that cheap.
I found this site that sells the same things YesStyle sells and for CHEAPER! But the site is all in Korean!
::OGAGE::
I just want to know how much shipping is to Canada and IF they even ship here (Vancouver, B.C.)... I need to know before the 17th to order YesStyle before my coat is sold out and/or to get my shipment before the 24th! Soo if you can read Korean, please help me =) Thank youuu
OK must get crackin' AAAHHH

A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That

MY DAY

Final #1 of 4 (Financial Accounting) is finito! It went.... alright. I think I did pretty well on the multiple choice... and I got most of the questions that involved numbers and calculations, but I probably only got 5 marks out of 30 for the theory questions... ah oh well it's over now. My next one is Kin110 (Nutrition) on Monday. I'm tired... only got 6 hours of zzzzzz

SWEATPANTS
BRR it was really cold out today! I don't know about you, but I don't even want to leave the house during finals.... let alone think of what to put on even if it's as easy as jeans and a top. I feel so unkept.. and my butt has widened and flattened from being sat on for hours at a time. I just want sweat pants! You know, I've only owned 1 pair of sweats in my life and it wasn't the sport ones you get in high school lol - I can't believe I went outside in these sweats! They were tapered at the bottom and they were from some store like Cotton Ginny in Gr. 8 or 9 hahahaha! I think I remember they were only $15. I still have them - use them as PJ pants. But what was I thinking????? lollll The butt area is so big even my big butt can't fill it out. Anyway, I think I need sweatpants -- ones that I can wear outside -- just 'cause they're sooo comfortable. I tried on B's TNA sweatpants [$60] (B, have you worn them out yet??). SO COMFY and the absolute perfect length for me. Kind of weird that TNA sweats are actually bigger than they should sized... like their S fits like a M.
Victoria's Secret: The Skinny Washed-n-worn sweats
[$44.50USD]
I like the sweatpants and hoodie, but all of Victoria's Secret lounge clothes say "PINK" on it..... They ruined it.
HARAJUKU LOVERS
New stuff from Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers line on Karmaloop:
The 2 Tone Fatal Track Pant [$66]
Ah I remember the days when track pants were the the only pants I had and would wear haha... they weren't even this type - they were the ones that went swoosh swoosh when I walked.
Anyway, I thought this type was nice to look at, but not a pant I'd wear. The inside of the leg says "A Fatal Attraction To Cuteness". I love what it says and the font, but why there? It's different, I'll give it that... but it's a bit odd.
The Pop Mini Purse in Funnies [$26]This is cute - looks more like a cosmetics bag than purse.
The Pop Mini Purse in Love/Hate [$34] -- interestingly more expensive than the previous Pop Mini Purse. Maybe b/c of the metallics? This is the same pattern as the waistbag I got xept mine is black and gold.

The Pop Mini Purse in Pin Up Girls [$28] I think I like this...
The Links Watch [$75]
I quite like this watch! I was half expecting one of those Harajuku girls' face to be on the plate, but they've decided to keep it more neutral and timeless.
I had to add in a t-shirt. This one is called The Paris Love T-shirt [$44]. I honestly don't wear enough tee's to buy it, but it's cute. Reminds me of DBSK's Bonjour! Paris hehe [AUUUX CHAMPS ELYSEEES]

Ok this is gonna turn out to be another one of my looong random posts. Well, the theme is fashion, but the styles are all different.

ADIDAS
B and I tried looking for the classic Adidas Zip Up jacket for cheap in HK, but failed to find any.
Here's a couple on Karmaloop:
The PB Soft Feel Track Jacket [$78] This one isn't in the material we wanted, but it's still nice.
Check out the neck!
This is the
Adidas Firebird Track Jacket silhouette we want:
In plum [$58]
OHH found it! Firebird Track Jacket in Navy! [$58]
Looks diff on diff ppl - Sort of makes this girl look wider than she is.
I'm also looking for Adidas capris for running outside in when the weather is transitioning.
Something like this:
Adidas Originals SBC Capri (Black/Gold) [$50.95] on Zappos.com
COOKIES
This pic is from The Sartorialist. Kids can wear anything! If it were my kid, though, I'd get her to wear the hat with the rim in the front and/or change her hat to a floppy knitted beret - but keep the same colour. Looks like she's wearing some pink dress underneath - I'd give her pink/red gloves. Kids can be matchy matchy haha. This kid looks great.
INTERMIX
What happens when you combine AA's racer back dress with sequins?
A racerback sequin dress! [$420]
Tadaaa -- a little too clingy? Maybe, but HOT!
Funnel Neck Wool Jersey Dress [$240] oo I think funnel necks look great. They're so flattering for ppl who have narrow shoulders and want the illusion of a long, slim neck. Love this dress. Intermix describes it as being a mix of Jackie O. and Andy Warhol haha
Charmeuse/Metallic Draped Dress [$395]
I just like the straps on this dress. I think they could have done something to the middle to make it nicer.
ETSY::
Alice and Wonderland key and lock pendant necklace [$30] This is so unique - I've never seen anything like it! It seems like the 2 charms on the side of the pendant is very "in" right now for handmade jewelry.

Nap time,

I've Found A New Love

I actually kept my word and stayed at the library from 10AM to 8:30PM! Whoooa - I like it there. I think I'll spend a lot more time there next semester. It'll be my other home.

Why is it that I always look forward to the next semester during final time? I don't want to study for finals... even though I do like studying actually - I just don't like knowing that I have to take an exam to prove how well I studied. But anyway, right now I just feel like starting the next semester (even if that means no Xmas) and getting my readings for English and Geography and going to the library to read them haha I'm really looking forward to that -- so weird (isanghae, remember?). No finals....

Anyway I just wanted to post something quick 'n easy.... to know today existed.
These pics are just some DBSK ones floating around on Soompi. They just happen to be wearing black and white:
Yunho
Junsu (So serious... wheyo??)
Yoochun and Junsu on BigEast Station ep 33:
Junsu to Yoochun: Do you like me or your brother?

Yoochun: ............

Yoochun to Junsu: Do you like me or giraffes?

Junsu: (without hesitation) I think I like giraffes more.

Yoochun (face looks a bit different)
Another Yoochun pic - you guys don't know HOW long it took me to think he was even remotely good looking haha - I think it was a little over a year!
Jaejoong (don't really like what he's wearing though..)
Changmin (Yay for his haircut!)
All five.. haha a bit unnatural with those yellow baskets.Talk, play, love... after tomorrow's final,
N

American Apparel

Back to being casual.
I think American Apparel does casual really well. Solids are what they do best.
I'm still fixated on getting this Unisex Flex Fleece V-Neck Sweatshirt [$42]. You might remember it from one of my 1st posts for this blog. I want it in Forest Green! It also comes in black, the blue "Lapis" shown below, bright yellow, and this light mauve. I have got to get one before winter is over! Since it's unisex, it'd be best to get a size or 2 smaller. I tried on the small in store (but in their mauve) and it fit well.... and it's sooo soft inside! It's sold out in XS/S/M online. Boooo.
Other things that would be nice, relatively cheap and practical additions to my wardrobe:
Acrylic Blend Cable Knit Leggings [$38] in dark heather gray -- keeps me warm when I'm tired of wearing pants.
Lamé Coin Purse [$10] for when my black cell phone case thingy dies. These things are great though - I hold my cell phone, my keys, and my Upass it! That's all I really need when I run out the door.
Oh and other than accessories like these, I'm not a fan of lam
é.Fine Jersey Scarf [$18]
This looks so cute on the model.
2x1 Rib Racerback Tank [$17]
I loooove this tank. I got a black one (wore it so often and it doesn't stretch out!). Wanna get a white one. I have such a hard time finding this sort of tank that fits me... old navy's armpit is too big.. and something is wrong w/ the AE ones. Anyway, they have a long version (a dress), but it's a little too form fitting for me.
This dress is cuuute: Fine Jersey Racerback Tank Dress [$36] in asphalt (dark gray)
I'd wear it with a belt though. Too shapeless and plain w/out.
I'm in great need of shorts for running! These Interlock Running Short [$30] is perfect. So many colours I don't know which one to choose!!
I never knew AA had such a great shipping policy! Standard shipping (under $50) is $8 and any purchase over $50 is FREE!! Music to my ears =D

I'm @ Central library all day tomorrow... studying business. First exam on Thursday! 60% eeeek. Please get over average please get over average...

Deee-ohs

15% off Dynamite until Jan 30th, 2008

Got my last issue of LOULOU today. Sort of relieved because their content has been declining, but I like their deals! They've had 20% off FCUK, 15% off American Apparel.. etc.
This month's deals are pretty good - almost worth buying the magazine.
These next 2 I might just use:

  • Free 1 week unlimited yoga classes with Semperviva!
Other notable deals:
  • 20% off Cake's online boutique (www.cakebeauty.com) - just type LOULOU when you check out.
  • $10 off when you spend $50 @ Aeropostale in store - need the coupon though (Nad)

Always a Lady

I am done my Badger project. Thank goodness. I can study now.

Shop Bop time!! Dresses
Versatile dress:

Catherine Malandrino Cascada Dress [$600]
I'm totally into sequins now - adds some zam! I wouldn't wear this by itself though - it's too much. Needs some sort of dressy long cardi.
Juicy Couture Lace Baby Doll Dress [$298]
Simple and the cut is a old fashioned.
Julie Haus Siren Bustier Dress: a spin on old Hollywood glamour [$287]
Another sequin dress! I love these shift dresses. Club Monaco [$348]
Urban Behavior is selling a very very similar dress for only [$75.80]!
I just like this outfit from Club Monaco... love to copy it. BCBG Max Azria Silk Chiffon Dress [$260]
I seem to love dresses that just hang on the body. 100% silk.
My holiday colours are: Black, white, silver, and gold... sparkle and shine! I'm also loving satin and silk.
